Chisholm Trail Elementary

Principal's Message

Welcome to Chisholm Trail Elementary and the Sanger Independent School District! Chisholm Trail is a great place for students to learn and to grow, where staff and parents are committed to partnering to help students reach their emotional, social, physical, moral, and academic potential. School is a place for building friendships and creating memories that will last a lifetime. I am honored to be part of these special and important years for your child.

We have more than 300 kindergarten through second grade students who are hardworking, respectful, and high achieving, and who love having fun while learning. We are fortunate to have experienced and creative staff members who love children and come to school each day committed to building a culture where students experience success.

Our students are preparing to learn and lead in a world experiencing great change. Students routinely use technology to assist with reading strategies and to become stronger mathematicians. They connect to the world through the use of interactive whiteboards and access to iPads. Our students participate weekly in hands-on activities in our S.T.E.A.M. lab.

This year marks my 6th year as the principal of Chisholm Trail, my 11th year in Sanger, and my 30th year in education. My husband, Don, and I will celebrate 41 years of marriage this fall. We are blessed with two sons. Thomas, and daughter-in-love, Michelle, are wonderful parents to our precious granddaughters, Addie and Ellie, who reside in Sanger. Our youngest son, Daniel, resides in Frisco.

Our theme for the year is β€œOne Town, One Tribe!”   We welcome your involvement to help us make Chisholm Trail Elementary a great place to learn. Volunteer applications are available in the office.

See YOU at school!
